Nightshade Connelly Michael (2026)

Los Angeles County Sheriffs Detective Stilwell has been exiled to a quiet post policing rural Catalina Island after departmental politics drove him away from a homicide desk on the mainland. While dealing with the drunk-and-disorderly incidents and petty thefts typical of his new territory, he receives a report of a body found wrapped in plastic and weighed down at the bottom of the harbour. Crossing all lines of protocol and jurisdiction, Stilwell doggedly begins investigating the case. His inquiries soon uncover closely guarded secrets and a dark side to the seemingly peaceful island that was meant to be his escape from the evils of the big city. The contents are in English.
