Nejlep eta aneb Cesta do armdy Soukup Vclav (2021)

This Czech-language book follows an individuals journey through the three-month basic training course of the Czech Army, traditionally held in Vykov in Moravia, from completing a non-binding registration form to the ceremonial graduation from the course. The training introduces newly recruited professional soldiers to basic military habits and skills, including shooting, map work, grenade throwing, marching, tactics, an obstacle course, survival in the forest, and, above all, extensive theory and knowledge tests. Diary entries focus on the course of the training, its rhythm and its important moments. When is a weapon clean? What moral qualities should a soldier in the Czech Army uphold? And which platoon will be the best?
