This Czech-language book presents the final, posthumously published selection from the essays that Niklas Luhmann devoted to the analysis of religion. Luhmann, a thinker in functional social theory and now a classic of sociology, was described as the Hegel of the second half of the twentieth century because of the breadth of his work. The book also provides a representative insight into his mature thinking on functional systems, including politics, the economy, law and science.
