Marta schlft Hausmannov Romy (2022)

Got you. And now we play. We play court. It has been years since Nadja was convicted of a brutal crime. After being released from prison, she wants nothing more than to lead a normal life. Then a murder takes place, and it is supposed to be undone. A remote house becomes the setting for a bizarre game, as Nadjas past makes her the perfect victimand the perfect murderer. This deeply unsettling psychological thriller explores guilt, revenge and whether a perpetrator can ever truly be free. The German-language paperback also includes a review noting that Romy Hausmanns second novel followed her thriller debut by reaching number four on the SPIEGEL paperback fiction bestseller chart.
