Marabu Easy Color Batik Dye – Dark Green, 25 g

Dark green dye for batik and hand dyeing, suitable for cotton, linen, silk, viscose, blended fabrics containing no more than 20% synthetic fibres, and rice paper. The dye can be hand-washed at up to 30C, has very good lightfastness, and is also suitable for children. The original colours appear only on white textiles; coloured fabrics produce a shade mixed with the base colour. For intensive dyeing, dissolve the dye in 35 litres of boiling water in a large stainless-steel container, allowing the fabric to move freely. For medium to delicate shades, use 7 litres of water. Add one tablespoon of table salt per litre of water; silk also requires 50 ml of household vinegar. Moisten and lightly wring the fabric, place it in the dye bath, and, for wax batik, reduce the temperature to 4050C. Dye for at least 20 minutes while constantly moving the fabric, then rinse it in cold water after each cycle until the water runs clear. Allow silk to cool slowly before rinsing.
