Mapa lsky – CD

tefan Margita, a regular guest on the worlds leading opera stages, presents a collection devoted chiefly to French chanson. Alongside French standards, the album includes Polish and Slovak songs as well as newly written Czech compositions. The lyrics come from Jiina Fikejzov, Pavel Kopta, Pavel Cmral, Hana Zagorov and Vojtch Ndl, while new texts were specially created by Gabriela Osvaldov, ubomr Feldek, Martin Chodr and Vclav Kopta. Chodrs lyrics for Jacques Brels Quand on na que lamour were authorized by the chanson composers daughter, France Brel of Editions Jacques Brel. Two original Czech songs feature music by Ondej Soukup and Martin Chodr. Margita is joined in duets by Zlata Adamovsk, Hana Zagorov and Miroslav birka. The title song, Mapa lsky, is an exceptional virtual duet with Hana Hegerov, using an older recording of the legendary chanson singer, who ended her performing career in 2011. Produced by Jan Adam and Daniel Hdl, this carefully selected collection includes songs such as Sous le ciel de Paris, La Mamma, La Vie en rose and Hymne lamour.
