Mal lhky Selmanov Victoria (2025)

In California in 2003, a thirteen-year-old girl disappears from a party at Turtle Lake in Carlsbad. The word LIAR is found written in blood on the trunk of a nearby poplar. Three teenage girls went to the lake that evening, but only two returned, later confessing to murdering their friend. But did they really kill her, and if not, why would they claim they did? Told across two timelines, this novel explores toxic friendship, the consequences of murder and the way we love those we have lost. The book is in Czech.
