Magick dt – O vvojovch fzch, dleitosti vazby a voln hry pro rozvoj tvrho mylen Pearce Joseph Chilton (2019)

This Czech-language edition is a classic work that profoundly challenges established views on childbirth, parenting and childrens education. Joseph Chilton Pearce presents bold ideas about how Western society harms children and how we might care for them and ourselves better. From birth, he says, the human child has one overriding interest: learning everything possible about the world. Our planet is a playground, and nothing should interfere with childrens play; under such an upbringing, the magical child is a happy genius capable of anything and equipped to fulfil its remarkable potential. Drawing on the ideas of internationally recognised child psychologist Jean Piaget, Pearce follows the development of the mind-brain system from birth to adulthood. He connects the alarming rise in autism, hyperactivity, childhood schizophrenia and teenage suicide with common mistakes in raising and educating children. He then shows how to restore the extraordinary wealth of creative intelligence that is the birthright of every human being. His message is simple: it is never too late to start playing, because we are all magical children.
