Lete, divok labut Changov Jung (2026)

This Czech-language memoir continues the story of Wild Swans from the moment Jung Chang left closed communist China for the West in 1978. It follows her personal journey as well as the transformation of China from an isolated dictatorship into a global power. Although she lives abroad, the authors life remains closely connected to her homeland, including the fact that her books are banned in China. The present-day policies of President Xi Jinping affect her at the most painful point when she is unable to reach her dying mother. This powerful memoir is both a tribute to the authors mother and a story of courage, love and the fascinating history that shapes the lives of one family and an entire country. It is told in a clear and emotional voice.
