This collection of short stories, the fifth by Michal Vanek, ranges from thought-provoking reflections on life to purely entertaining tales. It begins with a daughter’s question about where a word goes when it is erased and includes humorous episodes about a bear keeper and an intoxicated bear, as well as a nuclear physicist who works as a bar bouncer and gives troublemakers a chance to write Maxwell’s equations in differential form. Illustrations by Pavel Kantorek add extra sparkle to the stories. The contents are in Czech.
