Kaenka a ryt ze Lhotky Boukov Martina (2026)

This Czech-language childrens novel follows Pavlk, an ordinary village boy enjoying the last days of summer with his friends by the pond and in the garden. One day, Kaenka, a quiet, withdrawn girl, moves into the neighborhood. She keeps away from others and almost never goes out without a mask or disguise, seeming strange at first. Pavlk gradually discovers that her behavior is neither eccentricity nor a game, but a way of hiding from the looks of those around her. He then understands that true heroism lies not in strength, but in the courage to protect those who are weaker.
