Juice Winton Tim (2024)

Two fugitives, a man and a child, drive through the night across a stony desert and, at dawn, reach an abandoned mine site. From their vehicle, they survey a forsaken landscape of twisted iron, rusty wire and piles of sun-baked rubbish. Exhausted, traumatised and desperate, they see it as the most promising refuge they have found. But they are not alone, and to survive, the man will have to start talking. Storytelling becomes a matter of life and death in this searing, propulsive journey through a life whose central challenge is not merely survival, but maintaining human decency as everyone around you sinks further into selfish barbarism.
