Japanese Gothic Baker Kylie Lee (2026)

Lee cannot remember exactly where he hid the body, but he remembers the blood. Hiding out at his fathers centuries-old home in Japan, Lee knows that something is wrong with him, and that it is connected to his mothers disappearance almost a decade ago. In 1877, a female samurai named Sen patrols the borders of her home to protect her family from slaughter after the abolition of the samurai class. She cannot see how they will survive without her father, who has returned from war with a different soul behind his eyes. When Lee and Sen find each other through a door between their worlds, they are both looking for answers. What they discover in the creaking old house they share is beyond anything they could have imagined.
