ivot mezi praskmi trolejbusy (2026)

This book presents the memories of Otakar Drozda, who grew up beneath the windows of a Smchov flat where trolleybuses passed and who eventually became known to trolleybus drivers throughout Prague. His childhood dream of driving them came true, and he is now considered a legend of Pragues trolleybus transport. In October 1972, he was at the wheel of the last vehicle when trolleybus service in Prague ended for many years; when it was restored in early 2024, he was there once again, at least briefly. Jindich our records Drozdas memories alongside a concise history of Pragues trolleybus transport, whose launch reaches its ninetieth anniversary in August 2026. The book, published in cooperation with the Museum of Public Transport in Prague, contains extensive photographic material from public and private archives, including many photographs that have not previously been published. The contents are in Czech.
