ivot fare z Arsu – Svat Jan Maria Vianney Joulin Marc (2025)

This biography seeks to reveal the living person beneath the layers of legend, drawing on contemporary sources and testimonies from people who were closest to J. M. Vianney. Marc Joulin presents not only the troubled state of the Church in post-revolutionary France, but also a vivid portrait of the Cur of Ars, his character, spiritual development, spirituality and work, although his greatest work, its fruit in human souls, remains hidden from view. The biography is interspersed with series of inspiring sayings by the saint, allowing readers a deeper insight into the remarkable soul of the priest whose remote parish, and especially confessional, became one of Frances most renowned pilgrimage destinations. The book is in Czech.
