This Czech-language informatics textbook for secondary schools is created in accordance with the learning outcomes of the new national curriculum framework for informatics. It explains theoretical topics clearly, using illustrative graphics and examples from everyday practice, while also covering practical areas such as an introduction to programming in Python, algorithm design and the basic principles of databases. The textbook presents current trends in computational thinking, informatics and IT, including artificial intelligence, deepfakes, computer security and social network algorithms. Each topic ends with a set of review exercises containing theoretical and practical questions of various types for classroom revision or independent practice, such as homework, tests or lesson activities. The material often overlaps with other subjects: information theory connects with media education, while programming and algorithm creation are closely linked to mathematics. QR codes provide links to further information sources, videos and supplementary materials on external websites.
