Hunger Jin-young Choi (2026)

On an ordinary afternoon, a woman witnesses her boyfriend murdered in the street. Time stops until she lifts his body from the concrete, carries him home and disinfects every inch of his skin. As the dead man watches his own funeral from beyond, their two voices lament a lifetime of bone-grinding labour in a country where the rich feast and the poor starve. No longer willing to bow before law, money or God, the woman claims his body as hers and entombs the corpse within her flesh, where her soulmate will live again. This psychologically and philosophically thrilling cult classic explores love, capitalism and the things they do to us.
