Hork nedle aneb Vynechan povdky – 2 CD

This Czech-language audiobook contains four stories by Zdenk Svrk that were left out of the earlier two-disc collection Povdky. Read by the author, the new stories combine surprising endings with believable and engaging characters, sensitively conveyed details and observations. Svrks interpretation adds humour, longing and sensuality to his excellent storytelling, with subtle nuances in the portrayal of characters such as the priest Zbyek Pzontek, Vendula, the central character of The Con Man, and Vrka. The appeal of these stories lies in their precise expression, mystery, erotic allure and consistently unexpected conclusions.
