Hawk Is Dead James Peter (2025)

When the Royal Train carrying Queen Camilla to a charity event in Sussex is derailed, Roy Grace is drawn into a murder investigation reaching deep into Buckingham Palace. Is the derailment a tragic accident or a planned attack? Minutes later, a trusted aide is shot dead by a sniper, and although the evidence points to an attempted attack on the Queen, Grace is not convinced she was the intended target. Alone in his suspicions and facing scepticism from both his colleagues and the Palace, he pursues his own investigation. When a second murder occurs, the stakes rise and Grace risks becoming embroiled in a very public catastrophe while placing himself in mortal danger. With time running out before the killer strikes again, failure is not an option.
