Geopolitika ny Krej Oskar (2021)

This original publication, written without ideological prejudice or intellectual stereotypes, examines Chinas history and present. Its explanation of the nature of Chinese power is connected with a description of the geopolitical constants of the Middle Kingdom and national characteristics that reveal the distinctiveness of Chinese civilization and the forms of government arising from it. The book provides a detailed account of the origins of Chinas foreign policy, Confucian pacifism and the theory of war. Particular attention is paid to the so-called Century of Humiliation, using historical context to document how modern history continues to influence Chinas contemporary political culture and state ideology. It also addresses contentious issues with geopolitical implications, including Tibet, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and contains 60 tables, 21 maps and 14 graphs. The contents are in Czech.
