Gangrna Brjlindov Cilla (2019)

Former policeman and homeless man Tom Stilton paddles a primitive canoe along a river in Thailand. In his pocket he carries a photograph of an unknown man and the name of a lost steamboat. He is heading to the Golden Triangle to investigate a dark secret, hoping the journey will also help him come to terms with a crime he recently committed. At the same time, Olivia Rnningov receives a special assignment. Some time earlier, the family of a Stockholm public prosecutor was killed in a car explosion, a crime that shook Sweden. The perpetrator was arrested and convicted, yet Olivia joins forces with retired criminal commissioner Mette Olsterov because she suspects a serious miscarriage of justice and wants to reopen the investigation. Their inquiries lead into a world of sexual violence and men prepared to do anything to retain their power. This Czech-language thriller is the fifth book in the Nordic crime series featuring Tom Stilton and Olivia Rnningov.
