Forsaking Midnight McIntire Emily (2026)

This modern-day Lancelot and Guinevere retelling follows Lance Calloway, a fighter who has spent six years in an unsanctioned cage and remains loyal to his best friend, no matter the cost. When he is asked to protect Genevieve DeGrance, he finds himself guarding a woman who came to Rosebrook Falls to be with the mayors son. Genevieve hates the dangerous fighter who watches her every move, while Lance cannot stand her, but the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to remember that she belongs to someone else. As Genevieve uncovers the secrets and lies surrounding Rosebrook Falls, she realizes that the only honest person in her life may be the one man she is forbidden to want. Falling for each other could destroy them both, but staying away may be the one fight Lance cannot win. The novel features forbidden love, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, a best friends girl, a morally grey hero, a protective male lead, a slow burn and spice.
