This book records the contributions presented at an international conference on the relationship between the European Union and the Holy See, held on May 6, 2025, by the Faculty of Law of Charles University in cooperation with the Archbishopric of Prague. According to most experts, it was the first event of its kind on a European scale. The European Union and the Holy See are two specific entities of international law. The Holy See is not an EU member, and neither party intends its membership. Their relationship is governed by international treaties, in which the Vatican City State often acts on behalf of the Holy See, for example in economic and monetary matters. It also has a significant spiritual dimension arising from the Holy Sees position at the top of the hierarchy of the Catholic Church. The contents are in Czech and English.
