esk pohdky Boeny Nmcov (esko-ukrajinsk) (2026)

This Czech-Ukrainian bilingual edition presents the classic fairy tales of Boena Nmcov in Czech with Ukrainian translations. Reading familiar stories in the original is an engaging and natural way to begin understanding Czech. The book uses a supported two-stage reading system: first, you read the text with green translations provided directly in it, so you immediately understand the meaning; then you read the same text again without assistance and begin to understand the original independently. Through recognising words in context rather than memorising them with a dictionary, vocabulary and phrases become connected with the story, emotions and situations. The collection includes Uncle Phoda, The Tale of Little Thumb, Who Is More Foolish?, Three Pieces of Advice, About the Cat, Rooster and Scythe, The Devil and Ka, and About Stupid Honza.
