Epigrams of Oscar Wilde (2025)

This paperback collection of Oscar Wildes epigrams presents his brilliantly phrased observations, witty remarks and sometimes savagely cruel insults. Many quotations come from his plays, novels and essays, whose wit forms an outrageous philosophy. The book also recalls Wildes unconventional behaviour, his loyal friends and bitter enemies, his imprisonment in 1895, and the final years of declining health, social standing and poverty. Wilde died in Paris and is buried at Pre Lachaise Cemetery, where visitors continue to honour his genius.
