This Czech-language guide presents the basic requirements for electrical installations in bathrooms and other spaces with a bathtub or shower, as well as in saunas, swimming pools and fountains, together with principles for carrying them out. It is intended for construction investors, designers, electrical installation companies, inspection technicians and other interested readers, with particular attention to the legislation and technical standards valid when the guide was prepared. The text has been updated according to technical standards and legislation issued since 2021, especially SN 33 2000-7-701 ed. 3, SN 33 2130 ed. 4, Decree No. 146/2024 Coll. and other regulations. The third edition introduces new requirements for electrical installations in bathrooms, washrooms, spaces with a bathtub or shower, saunas, swimming pools, fountains, washing areas and sanitary facilities. It also contains answers to frequently asked questions on the subject. The guide addresses electrical installations in these spaces in residential and civic buildings, healthcare facilities, industrial buildings and sports facilities. Its chapters cover technical requirements for installations in spaces with bathtubs or showers, washing areas, swimming pools and fountains, saunas, showers, toilets and similar areas; relevant legislation; requirements for designing and carrying out the work; related standards; external influences; and the definitions used. The third edition also describes options for modernising older electrical wiring with new devices. The guide is intended for a broad professional readership, including electrical installation designers, investors, installation company employees, inspection technicians and students, as well as non-specialists who want an overview when commissioning an electrical installation from a professional company or self-employed contractor. It can also be used by students of electrical engineering, vocational training instructors and teachers at secondary and higher-level schools.
