EGO – Kuchask kniha Vachkov Ludmila (2015)

This Czech-language book presents a collage of fragmentary reflections, unfinished stories, curious advice for life, strange quotations and documents that together form a portrait of the imaginary Mr Ego. Ludmila Vachkov seeks to give aesthetic form to the diversity and contradictions of contemporary reality and the people living in it. Her lively, sharply observant perspective repeatedly breaks through the artistic rules she sets herself, opening unexpected views onto the unarranged conflicts between lifes authentic, unpredictable tragicomedy and the official and unofficial, individual and social taboos that conceal its true nature in conventional thinking.
