A Czech-language fantasy novel. Seventeen-year-old Jenovfa is swept into events that transform both her and the entire world. People with paranormal abilities draw their powers from a mysterious substance known as the Grey and become prey to an organisation determined to overcome the approaching end of civilisation. Czechoslovakia still exists in the second half of the 1990s, civil war shakes the dying Soviet Union, former StB agents return to work and retired elite assassins abandon their gardens. An action-filled struggle begins, one that can end only in a fierce finale involving the lives and souls of everyone concerned, while the Grey continues to seep into our world.
