Easy Czech Elementary + CD tindl Ondej (2013)

Easy Czech Elementary is a Czech-language textbook for English-speaking beginners. It is designed for group courses but can also be used for individual instruction and self-study. English is used throughout for explanations and exercise instructions. Across twelve lessons, students learn to communicate in basic situations such as meeting people, shopping, speaking in a restaurant, at a train station or in a taxi, asking for directions, and talking about work, family, future plans and the past. The book presents the vocabulary and grammar needed for communication in these areas. Its unconventional approach to teaching grammar helps students communicate correctly in Czech without drilling large numbers of rules and grammatical tables. The textbook includes an audio CD with recordings, as well as an answer key, glossary and overview of Czech grammar.
