Dokud me Dostl Ale (2026)

This Czech-language novel follows sixty-year-old Hubert after he receives a diagnosis with a survival prognosis of no more than ten percent. Even his usual sarcastic humour deserts him at first, though it soon helps him survive yet another collision with the wall and live by the saying that statistics are a science, but life is life. Three cancers and seven years later, Hubert feels he has won, when a blow arrives from a completely unexpected direction. Life is life, but this time it may finally have the last word.
