This completely revised modern-history textbook for the eighth year of primary school replaces the original volume in the History 69 series. Its organisation, scope and overall continuity remain largely unchanged, but it now extends to 1914 so that its treatment better reflects the needs of contemporary society. The book gives considerably more attention to everyday life, the position of women and racial issues in history. The material is in Czech and is practised and consolidated in a workbook. The teachers edition provides new teaching support, with colour-coded notes containing methodological guidance, answers to review questions, explanations, links between subjects and school years, references to specialist literature, interesting facts and more.
