Diablova hviezda (slovensky) (2026)

This Slovak-language crime novel takes place during a heatwave in Oslo. A brownish stain appears on the ceiling of an apartment, and a drop of blood falls into a pot of boiling potatoes. Meanwhile, Inspector Harry Hole lies utterly drunk and abandoned on the floor of his flat on Sofies gate. His obsessive efforts to prove that his colleague Tom Waaler is a murderer have cost him the people closest to him, and he knows he will lose his job in four weeks. A call from the police station jolts him from his alcoholic stupor: the police have found a murdered woman with a finger cut off. Harry Hole is given one last chance, but he must work with the only colleague who is not on holiday at that timeTom Waaler himself. And temperatures in Oslo are set to rise even further over the coming days.
