Devt ivot tankovho velitele (2026)

Major General Rea Leakey is one of the greatest heroes of the Royal Tank Regiment during the Second World War. He sees action in Africa, where he faces the renowned German general Erwin Rommel, and later commands a tank battalion in Normandy and witnesses the fierce battles at the Rhine. His autobiography is unique because it draws on a diary he kept at the time, despite this being strictly forbidden. It offers a vivid eyewitness account from a man who is truly on the front line, covering his entire military service from joining his first regiment to the end of the Second World War. His remarkable, sometimes almost unbelievable story adds a British perspective on the war in Africa and Europe.
