Desatero – Podnty pro osobn i profesn ivot Oliva Max (2025)

This Czech-language book by Max Oliva reflects on the Ten Commandments and their meaning for people today. Rather than seeing them as restrictive prohibitions, it presents them as a source of freedom from whatever enslaves us, as well as a guarantee and inspiration for lifes path. Respect for God, the experience of holy days, a loving relationship with parents and respect for every persons physical integrity are presented as timeless values, alongside respect for marriage, the search for truth, personal freedom and another persons right to their own property. The reflections draw on Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the authors experience and the life stories of people he has encountered as a clergyman.
