Debout les morts Vargas Fred

One morning, the singer Sophia Simonidis discovers an unfamiliar tree in her garden: a beech tree. Who planted it there, and why? Her husband Pierre takes no interest, but Sophia becomes anxious, loses sleep and finally asks her neighbours, three slightly eccentric young men, to dig beneath the tree in case they find something. A few weeks later, Sophia disappears, and a charred body is discovered. Could it be hers? The police investigate, and so do the neighbours, who were fond of Sophia. The strange appearance of the beech tree becomes even more mysterious.
