Cestuj s Veru – Nejvt zitky zanaj tam, kde kon strach z ltn (2026)

This Czech-language travel memoir leaves behind perfectly filtered Instagram photos and polished motivational quotes, offering instead the honest confession of a woman who was terrified of flying yet decided to pack her things and set off into the world. Veru takes readers beyond the safety of their comfort zone to Costa Rica, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Germany, Poland and Croatia, where cheap hostels can smell of mould, every flight can trigger catastrophic thoughts, and transport chaos brings absurd situations. Along the way, readers meet people who turn her life upside down, cockroaches that share her room rent-free and an unexpected love that was never part of the itinerary. Amid the chaos comes an inner transformation: failure and improvisation become the best teachers, embarrassing moments bring important lessons, and the most significant journeys lead not only across oceans but into our own depths. This is an honest, self-ironic and sometimes deeply moving look at a world where chaos makes sense and even the greatest fear can become the best decision of ones life.
