CD Various – eskoslovensk anson

This album presents original Czechoslovak chanson recordings from 1964 to 2021. The 22-track compilation offers a representative overview of chanson production from the mid-1960s to 2021 and allows listeners to follow its development and different forms. It ranges from the realistic chansons of Ljuba Hermanov and Hana Hegerov, through the dramatic style of Zuzka Lonsk, Marika Gombitov and Zuzana Talpov, and the engaged chansons of Marta Kubiov and Alena Havlkov, to more poetic songs by Hana Hegerov, Hana Zagorov, Lenka Filipov, Jitka Molavcov and Vclav Neck. The album concludes with distinctive singer-songwriter forms performed by Vclav Koubek and Radza. Seven recordings are released here for the first time, including two that appear on CD for the first time.
