Byla to vrada, zapome (2026)

A Czech-language detective novel about Pragues murder squad, a dead priest and a forty-year-old secret. Lieutenant Daniel Bran returns to Prague after an extended stay in Greece, to a city changing as rapidly in the early 1990s as he is himself. Instead of a ceremonial welcome, he finds a dusty suicide case on his desk involving a priest from a small village in Central Bohemia. But as Dan, who is also haunted by his own demons, begins his investigation, his adversary starts erasing the traces of the past.
