Blanka Lamrov (2022)

Blanka Lamrov (born in 1949), a native of Litovel, is one of the less conspicuous figures on the Czech photography scene. After studying at the Secondary School of Graphic Arts in Prague from 1968 to 1972, she works for an incredible 43 years, from 1972 to 2015, as a photographer at the National Gallery in Prague. Throughout her life, she devotes herself to documentary and time-lapse photography. Her photographs from 1989 are also valuable, capturing a number of watershed moments, including the emigration of East German citizens and the Velvet Revolution. She is a member of the Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic and the Union of Czech Photographers.
