This tenth revised edition presents a popular translation of the Bible into contemporary Czech. The translation has appealed to experts, general readers and people who have never read the Bible before. The 21st-century translation conveys the Bibles timeless message in clear, contemporary Czech while striving to remain as faithful as possible to the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts. At the same time, it aims to speak to todays readers, both those accustomed to drawing daily inspiration from the Book of Books and those opening it for the first time.
