Asi se mi nebude chtt – CD

A special solo album by Petr Janda, created to mark his eightieth birthday, brings together newly written songs, lyrics, a studio band and numerous guests. Although Jandas melodic ideas reflect the author of roughly a thousand songs, mostly recorded with Olympic, this music differs in many respects. It looks back and takes stock, but is certainly not a farewell, as the singer, guitarist and composer still has energy to spare. The twelve recordings follow a carefully arranged sequence, while two bonus tracks on the CD underline the albums exceptional character. Janda is joined by Luk Pavlk on drums and as co-producer, Adam Stivn on bass, Ondej Fencl on keyboards, vocals and lyrics, and Luk Koranda on backing vocals and lyrics, as well as musical friends including Ji Stivn, Emil Viklick, Antonn Gondoln and Ji George Kozel. The album also features Pavel porcl on violin, Matj Ptaszek on harmonica, Petr Vondrek on piano, Karel Mak on accordion, prominent brass and the Dobr veer Quintet on vocals, along with Marta Jandov in a ballad duet with her father. Its Czech-language songs combine rock, chanson surprises and a touch of swing. The tracklist includes Asi se mi nebude chtt, Pohdka, Tomu dala featuring Marta Jandov, Stepy, U starho hrocha, Jandv svatebn pochod, Slunenk, J. S. Bach, Hrac skka, Bl krlovna, J to takhle mm rd and Mladej kmet, followed by the bonus tracks dnej happy end and Zvltn film.
