as mj za to stl – 13 CD

This 13-CD retrospective set presents the distinctive voice and career of singer Vra pinarov. It contains twelve studio albums and a bonus disc with singles from 1969 to 1990, covering her recording debut in the late 1960s and a career whose mainly mainstream repertoire is often sharpened by rock-influenced singing. Her music ranges from driving soul songs and dramatic ballads to good-time film boogies and majestic western themes. With Ivo Pavlks band, she developed a powerful creative and performing partnership, while also taking on big-band arrangements and performing with the rock band Special. Later, she worked with her son Adam, who served as composer, arranger and bandleader. The set includes the albums Andromeda (1972), ivotopis (1976), Vra pinarov 3 (1979), Meteor lsky (1982), Stny vslun (1984), Vra pinarov & Special 85 (1985), Vra pinarov & Special 7 (1986), A pod t mm rda (1993), J si broukm (1994), Kdy se lskm stsk (1996), Za vechno mu j (2001) and as mj za to stl (2005), followed by the bonus collection Singly 19691990 (2017) with 24 singles. The original album artwork is retained, and the set includes a biographical sleeve note by Milo Skalka.
