Apatyk Melchior a pzrak ze Studnin ulice (2026)

Fear is spreading through medieval Tallinn. Are the stories merely rumors, or is there truly vengeance from beyond the grave? A tower guard, a prostitute and a Flemish painter all claim to have seen a ghost in Studnin Street, and shortly afterward they die under mysterious circumstances. Melchior Wakenstede, an apothecary and assistant bailiff, once again follows the trail of truth through the streets of medieval Tallinn, where it often hides in unexpected places. Driven by a strong sense of justice, he investigates the deaths and tries to discover whether ghosts can truly take revenge on the living or whether the sightings are only city gossip. As Melchior becomes entangled in power struggles and rivalries between religious orders, merchant guilds and the Teutonic Knights, he uncovers something far more frightening than a ghost. This Czech-language book is a historical mystery novel.
