Anna, cesta ze Sudet (2026)

This historical novel tells a story of love, courage and loss, revealing the fragility of human dreams in a time when the world is changing irreversibly. Anna Lesn grows up in a world undergoing dramatic change. A girl marked by the war years in the Sudetenland becomes a young woman who, despite her German origins, struggles to build her own future. Yet a new threat relentlessly enters the lives of Anna and those close to her: the rise of communism. Compulsory labour, pressure to join the Party, whispers of political trials and death sentences mean that every step can have fateful consequences. Anna nevertheless refuses to retreat or give up her dreams. She longs to attend a ceramics school, complete her secondary education and find love. Against the backdrop of a changing society, other lives unfold as well. Lda echov feels a deep affection for Miroslav, an engineering student who makes no secret of his opposition to the new regime. But a single act is enough to place his life in the hands of a power that shows no mercy.
