Agatha Christie: First Lady of Crime Christie Agatha (2020)

Agatha Christie was not only the worlds biggest-selling writer of detective stories, but also a mystery herself, giving only rare interviews, refusing to become any kind of public figure, and offering no simple explanation for her astonishing success. H. R. F. Keating, a crime novelist and respected reviewer, brings together twelve distinguished writers from both sides of the Atlantic to explore this double mystery. Some examine Christies art, while others explain the reasons for her success in books, film and theatre. Penetrating, affectionate, enthusiastic, analytical, funny and at times critical, their contributions offer an almost unique insight into the life and work of the First Lady of Crime.
