A jednou potkm svho Pna Baldwin James (2025)

There is no way not to suffer. But people try various ways not to drown in it. The men and women in these eight short stories understand this truth on an elemental level, and in James Baldwins telling, their stories detail the ingenious and often desperate ways they try to keep their heads above water. It may be heroin taken by a jazz pianist at rock bottom, as he faces the horror of having invested his life in an lifeless instrument. It may be the fragile piety of a father who can never forgive his son for being unable to live within a marriage. Or it may be the screen of bigotry erected by a crude politician to dull the terrible childhood memory of seeing a cheering crowd murder a Black man with his parents. The contents are in Czech.
