A Clockwork Orange : Restored Edition Burgess Anthony (2013)

This critical edition of Anthony Burgesss dystopian classic follows fifteen-year-old Alex, who enjoys lashings of ultraviolence and leads his gang through a nightmarish future of robbery, murder and rape until the State puts an end to his excesses. A dystopian horror, black comedy and exploration of choice, the novel is also an exuberant work of invention that created a new language for its characters. This restored edition presents the text as Burgess originally wrote it, with a glossary of the teen slang Nadsat, explanatory notes, pages from the original typescript, interviews, articles and reviews exploring the enduring fascination of the novels sweet and juicy criminality.
