2001: A Space Odyssey Clarke Arthur C. (2016)

Written when landing on the Moon was still a dream, 2001: A Space Odyssey is a science-fiction classic that has changed the way we look at the stars and ourselves. An enigma is uncovered on the Moon, with implications so great that humans are sent deep into the solar system for the first time. Before they reach their destination, however, things begin to go very wrong. From the savannas of Africa at the dawn of humanity to the rings of Saturn at the turn of the twenty-first century, Arthur C. Clarke takes readers on an extraordinary journey. Brilliant, compulsive and prophetic, and the basis for Stanley Kubricks immensely influential film, the novel explores humanitys and technologys place in the universe and remains a landmark achievement in storytelling.
