This remastered CD presents Vladimr Miks fifth, unnumbered album and his first entirely free release. Recording was completed at Pragues Mozarteum studio on 17 November 1989, the day students began a peaceful revolution against the communist regime nearby on Nrodn tda. Even before then, Mik and the band ETC had agreed to pursue the rawest possible form of their music under weakening censorship: fewer keyboards and computers, a partial return to acoustic songwriting, and lyrics free from supervision. The album brings together numerous musicians, with different players taking turns on individual instruments, while J. Hrub, J. Nejezchleba, P. Skoumal and the lyricists J. Ddeek, J. Burian, V. Merta and P. rut remain among its constants, alongside Mik in several roles. Songs such as majdk a plouky, Sadem, lesem, parkem, ern holka, Balada pivn and ivotn reim expanded Miks collection of hits. The reissue restores the distinctive handwritten artwork by Karel Haloun and includes three songs originally omitted from the bonus listing: pejchar blues, Tv oi and Krlovsk veer.
