Woman Down Hooverov Colleen (2026)

After a viral backlash over her latest film adaptation, writer Petra Rose takes a hiatus, misses deadlines and falls behind on her mortgage. Branded a fraud and fame-hungry opportunist, she retreats to a secluded lakeside cabin with a new suspense novel outlined and her savings nearly gone. Her creativity returns when Detective Nathaniel Saint arrives with disturbing news. Petras fictional police character begins to mirror the real detective, and their research sessions blur the line between fantasy and reality. As their attraction grows, Petra feels more alive than she has in years. But Saint begins taking his role in her career too seriously, forcing Petra to confront the chaos she has created. Doing so could cost her more than the reputation she is trying to salvage, a reputation that only she can reclaim.
